ARTIFACT: This is a great enameled graduation lapel wing for the Curtiss-Wright Technical Institute of Aeronautics. Established in 1929, the California school provided air crew mechanic training during World War II. The wing is by Entenmann and reads "Alis et Animo" (With Speed and Courage).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's - World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/8" in height x 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: "ENTENMANN".

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aviation company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX12 LFJX12/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows minor wear, nearly all of the enameled and gilt details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
