Nice 1890s - 1900s Deputy Sheriff Circle Star Cut Out Shield Badge. Great 'Old West' Look!

Nice 1890's - early 1900's Deputy Sheriff circle cut-out shield badge. The badge reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" and has a great 'Old West' look with nice patina and wear.
These badges came out of an old collection put together by a collector from Kansas, now deceased. As the bulk of his collection was Kansas and Colorado, it can be safely assumed that these badges were indeed worn in the Old West of their particular vintage, although I do not know exactly where any were used or collected.
