ARTIFACT:
This is a Monumental Navajo Silver Coin & Lone Mountain Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace by Navajo artist James McCabe.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1990's - 2000's.
SIZE:
Approximately: Necklace: 28-1/2" in length, Naja: 4-3/8" in height x 2-7/8" in, Turquoise Cabochon: 1" in height x 1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Again, The necklace is made of mostly Coin Silver, with Low Grade Lone Mountain Turquoise Beads, and one stunning High Grade Lone Mountain Cabochon located at the top of the Naja above the Morgan Silver Dollar. The components of the necklace consist of: 1 one 1890 O Morgan Silver Dollar, 10 ten 1940's Walking Liberty Half Dollars, Navajo pearl beads made with 80 EIGHTY!! 1940's Mercury Dimes, 1 one 1935 Mercury Dime on the clasp, One Large turquoise Cabochon, and 26 small hand made Turquoise beads.
ATTACHMENT:
Clasp, Loop: to be worn around one's neck.
MARKINGS:
"JMc" on Naja and on the tips near the clasps. Images 5 & 13 show the Maker Marks.
