ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa 1943 United States Navy Electric Boat Co. submarine badge. Begun in 1892, Elco manufactured several types of boats, including yachts, power boats and boats for the United States Coast Guard and Navy. The badge is in silver plated steel.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 1/2"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver plated steel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop in locking catch.
