ARTIFACT:
This is a rare World War II United States Army Air Forces combination blood chit and escape/bailout map. The map is in cloth, and shows the way from K'un-Ming in Yunnan, China to Chabua in Assan, India with one side showing the eastern half and the other the western. One column devoted to translating the soldier's friendly message into seven different languages. Credit is given in one corner of the map United States Coast and Geodetic Survey for preparing the map for the USAAF.
