ARTIFACT: Rare Early WWII Free French Air Force (FAFL) Pilot Wing/Branch of Service Badge with Extremely LOW #15. We don't know who this badge originally was worn by, but he was someone VERY important with such a low #.

The wing has a star at top and shows a crest bearing the Cross of Lorraine and reading F.A.F.L. : Forces Aeriennes Francaises Libres (French: Free French Air Force) 


VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" x 1-3/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical T Pin with open C catch.

MARKINGS: # 15

ITEM NOTES: This is from a French militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGEX07 LBGIEX09/01/19

CONDITION: 8 (Very Fine - Excellent): The wing has a few small spots of minor oxidation; all enamel is intact.
