ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an anchor with two crossed oars flanked by two crescents, and also a fleur-de-lis and a lion rampant divided by a diagonal red bend.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER NEW YORK and maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBDX10/11 SBDX08/20

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only very light wear and tarnish.
