Description
Minty, mid-60's United States Navy VF-21 large, US-made jacket patch. The Navy fighter squadron flew the F4 Phantom aircraft, the patch shown is as worn in the West Pacific on board the USS Coral Sea and USS Ranger. Embroidered on yellow twill the patch features the squadron's insignia - a panther atop a black shield that reads: "Freelancers" on a white banner in green letters, the bottom of the patch reads: "FIGHTER SQUADRON 21"
