ARTIFACT: This is a mint 1950s boxed set of "his and hers" lighters by Vulcan with dolphin engravings and an enameled medallion for the USS Albacore on each. The Albacore was commissioned in 1953 as a test sub and can now be seen at Albacore Park in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Both lighters are unfired.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Box: approximately 4-9/16" in length and in 3" in width and 5/8" in depth; "his" lighter: approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-7/16" in width and ½" thick; "her" lighter: approximately 2" in height and 1-3/16" in width and 3/8" thick.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass with enameled areas, cardboard box with silk lining.

ATTACHMENT: Hinged.
