This is a pair of M-1938 Resistal goggles favored by pre-World War II aviators and tankers.
VINTAGE:Circa 1938.
SIZE:About 3-1/4" height and 6-1/2" width and 2-5/8" depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Goggles: glass, black plated brass, natural rubber pads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:Stamped on goggle frame: "RESISTAL" H.B.N.Y., hand scratched: M.P. Rowe.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The goggles are in pretty good shape considering how quickly pads degrade. Dark gray pads are cracked but still whole and attached to frame. Strap elasticity is brittle. Minor rivet damage at top center.
