This is a Lovely late 19th Century Stanley Pocket Rule #88 in Ivory & German Silver with Steel & Brass Hinges. It is a One Foot, Four-Fold model which is 5/8 inch wide. This model is made with an extra-strong Arch Joint and is fully bound in German Silver. German Silver is a white alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel which was used for the trimmings on premium quality rules due to its silver appearance and improved durability. This Stanley #88 Ivory Folding Rule is truly a work of art and must have for any true tool collector as it is likely over 100 years old!!
