ARTIFACT: This is a late World War II United States Navy 40th Patrol Torpedo Squadron (PT-RON 40) patch. The patch is round with a red border, showing a torpedo darting through the number 40 above a ship.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.

SIZE: 3-7/8" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully- embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto uniform or deck jacket.

MARKINGS: N/A.
