This is a Late 1940s Sacramento California Deputy Sheriff 7 point Star #516 by Sleeper.

Approximately 2-3/4" in width x 2-13/16" in height.

Gilt Brass, enamel with painted letter.

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking with catch.
