This is a jacket patch for the United States Navy fighter squadron VF-11 in a "sausages" design from when the squadron served on the USS Kearsarge. The patch reads THE RED RIPPERS and shows a boar's head and a chain of sausages above a crest bearing a red lightning bolt and two red circles.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s Ð Korean War.
SIZE:5" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.

CONDITION:8- (Excellent): Patch shows light wear and small spots of slight discoloration.
