This is a circa late 1930s or World War II Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Special Patrolman badge, used for an officer protecting a factory or performing a similar duty. The badge is shield -'shaped with the number 523 at center.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s-World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height x 1-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin on bar, drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:None.
