ARTIFACT:
This is a great, large World War II United States 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force (The Bulldogs) jacket patch. This unit first flew P-47s and then switched to P-51s in time to perform duties of fighter cover for the D-Day Landing. This is truly an exceptional and huge patch in brilliant orange, yellow and blue. The design shows a mean bulldog at the base of the Statue of Liberty.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 6-1/8" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Felt embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
