This is an old "jail" key in the lever lock style, more commonly referred to as a skeleton key. The key has a slightly flattened-out bow.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:5-3/16" length and 1-5/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a police-related collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VFX98 LFEX9/10 SFEX3/14
CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): Key shows moderate wear and tarnish and several abrasions on the bit.
