ARTIFACT: This is a large hand-carved wooden United States Navy Observer wing from World War II. The wing is over three feet in length and has just wonderful details from the anchor to the textured background to the individual wing feathers. It is numbered 5500 on reverse and has a bracket for hanging.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 39" in length and 9-1/8" in height and 1-5/8" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-carved wood.

ATTACHMENT: Bracket for hanging.

MARKINGS: 5500

ITEM NOTES: This is from a great old sign collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. SHOP VBEX97 LAGEX12/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has only some small spots of light wear, one being a small nick under the "O".
