This is a Rare LARGE 1950's - 1960's United States Navy Mine Defense Laboratory Department of Defense Special Police Badge # 14 by Lavigne Miami.
The USN Mine Defense Laboratory was known by this name from 1955 until 1972 when it became the Naval Coastal Systems Laboratory. The Facility is Located in Panama City Florida.
VINTAGE:
1950s - 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately: 3-1/8" in height x 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome plated nickel with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:DONALD LAVIGNE INC. MIAMI FLA.
