This is a circa 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) jacket patch for the Tunxis Forest #135 in West Hartford, Connecticut. Named for the Wuttunkshau Indian word for the "point where the river bends", Tunxis Forest has a rich history and was a focus point for the Civilian Conservation Corps.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 8-1/4" in height and 7-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Multi-piece felt with painted details.
