ARTIFACT: This is a Korean War era employee handbook for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (in Portsmouth, New Hampshire/Kittery, Maine). The cover's motto states "WE BUILD THE BEST WE SERVICE THE REST". The handbook was published in Boston in 1952

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War.

SIZE: 68 black and white pages; approximately 8" in height and 5-1/8" in width and 1-3/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag and matte paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: NAVY-DPPO 1ND, BOSTON, MASS on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCX11 LFJX9/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The handbook is in excellent condition aside from some minor aging to the cover, with no rips, stains or writing inside or out.
