ARTIFACT:

This is an iconic, Early WWI M1913 Imperial Prussian Army Pilot Badge, manufactured circa 1914. This is a Type 1 badge, by Juncker ,in 800 Silver.
If only this early war badge could speak! It obviously had some use, and the long time in the Air War necessitated a period repair to the original C catch to maintain wearability. Otherwise, quite a striking piece with lovely moderate patina and very light wear: this badge was well cared for.

This badge is among 4 of our current offerings that were chosen by OVMS to be on the back cover of this year's MAX program.

VINTAGE: World War I, Circa 1914.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/8" in height x 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 800 Silver

ATTACHMENT: Vertical "T" style pin with "C" type catch.

MARKINGS:
