This is a Huge, Iconic, 1870's Deputy Sheriff Circle Star Badge in Nickel.
VINTAGE:1870's.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel with brass pin and black painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-type catch
MARKINGS:N/A.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The badge shows Hand Stamped in a nicely serifed Front, Jeweler's Black is still present in most of the lettering. Overall, it is in excellent condition.
