Description
This is a huge 1945 centennial edition of the United States Naval Academy's "Lucky Bag" yearbook. The book is less than one inch shy on each side of being a folio size, and has a great map of Fort Severn inside both covers. The book has a total of 608 mostly glossy, black and white pages. We have included photos (above) of some of the more interesting prints and popular advertisements, including a full page ad for Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. and a full-color Chesterfield ad featuring Ernie Pyle. Also shown is the more sobering page for Ensign Eugene Samuel Captain, who died at the Battle of Leyte Gulf (included is a period death announcement).
