Description
This is a handsome and large circa 1910s or 1920s Watertown, Massachusetts Constable badge. It is shield-shaped and has a huge, detailed City Seal at its center. It looks as though the body of the badge may be/have been silver-plated (from the rainbow on front, tarnish on back), but the center is nickel-plated brass.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-11/16" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Possibly silver-plated brass body, nickel-plated brass center.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin, C catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge appears to have had some recent polishing. I have cleaned off any residue to allow a metal patina to build back up.
