Group Aussie-Made 3rd Bomb Group, 5th AF Patches (incl 8/13/89/90th BS)

This is a complete set of Australian-made jacket patches for the United States 3rd Bomb Group, 5th Air Force. The patches (from left to right and top to bottom in grouping photo above) are for the 5th Air Force, 3rd Bomb Group, 8th Bomb Squadron, 13th Bomb Squadron (reaping skeleton), 89th Bomb Squadron and the 90th Bomb Squadron.

Circa World War II.

The patches are various sizes, ranging from approximately 4-3/8" in diameter (90th BS) to approximately 6-3/8" in height 5-5/8" in width (3rd BG).

Felt embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads; 13th BS patch has treated paper backing and 90th BG patch has muslin backing.

8+ (Excellent): The patches are all in about the same condition, excellent with very little visible wear.
