Great WWI US Army, UK-Made Badge: "ON DUTY, Headquarters B.S. 3"

Great WWI United States Army UK-made badge. The shield shaped badge features an enameled US flag with thirteen stars centered within the shield and surrounding it reads: "U.S.A. ON DUTY HDQRS B.S. 3" Headquarters (Base Sector, BN Section, British Sector?). There is an eagle perched on the top of the shield with wings spread and the reverse reads: "J.R. GAUNT LONDON".

Bronze, enamel

Horizontal "Y" British kick pin with "C" type catch.
