Great WWI Canadian Expeditionary Forces (CEF) 228th Northern Fusiliers Overseas Battalion match safe. The center shows a bomb-like emblem with a maple leaf and the number: "228" in the center and reads: "NORTHERN FUSILIERS OVERSEAS CANADA". The match safe features a push button closure and hinged lid.
