Description
This is a great pre-World War I, circa 1912 - 1915, photograph of a woman pilot and a passenger preparing to take off in a Curtiss seaplane. Glenn Curtiss was known as the American pioneer in the field of hydro-aviation and is responsible for training the first US Naval Aviator. The photograph is matted and displayed in a nice old wooden frame.
VINTAGE:Circa 1912 - 1915.
SIZE:Approximately 9-1/8" in width x 7-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Photograph, glass, wood, paper backing.
