Great Old West 1880s - 1890s Deputy Constable 6-Point Star Badge

This is a Great Old West late 1880's to very early 1890's Deputy Constable 6-Point Star Badge in nickel plated nickel. It has a one-piece nickel pin on back, with a crude, hand cut, copper reinforcement saddle on the pin in a large pool of lead solder. Light to moderate wear on the obverse, with great patina on the reverse. 

Circa late 1880's to very early 1890's .

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering, nickel pin, copper saddle, and lead solder.

Vertical safety-style pin with catch and saddle.
