This is a 1910's - 1920's Deputy Marshal Badge from the City of Simmonsville, Texas.
Hardly a "City" Simmonsville was in Bell County, southwest of Waco, between Nolanville and Belton.
There is nothing left of it now, and it is hard to even find much mention of it on the internet.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1910s - 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately: 2-1/4" in height x 1-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-type 'C' catch.
MARKINGS:N/A.
