This is a great World War I "trench art" lighter made from the centers of Imperial German belt buckles fitted with a flint wheel. The lighter is quite large, measuring just over 2-1/2" in height. The buckle centers display the motto "Gott Mit Uns" (God with us).
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 2-9/16" in height x 1-15/16" in width x 3/4" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, nickel.
ATTACHMENT:To be carried in pocket to light up your smokes.
MARKINGS:None.
