Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great pair of early World War II German Army (Wehrmacht) binoculars in their original 1941-dated Bakelite case. The body of the binoculars is painted in the Afrika Korps paint. The eye lens guard and straps are still intact and functional and the case has a great tension locking clasp and strap.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 6-1/2" in width (when flattened).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted steel, glass; Bakelite case; leather straps.

ATTACHMENT:

Locking clasp on case; straps with buckles on case and binoculars.

MARKINGS:

Dienstglas 6x30 283353 ddx. & mark on binoculars; Arn 41 on case.

ITEM NOTES:

7+ (Very Fine-Excellent): The binoculars and case have some areas of cosmetic wear.
