ARTIFACT: This is a great early World War II Axis anti-communist pin. The pin was made in Italy and was converted from a screwback to a pinback in the period. The pin is nicely enameled and shows a fasces against the Italian flag, the swastika and Japanese flag. The pin reads Patto Anticomintern Italo-Nippo-Tedesco around its border.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: Gruppo do Cultura Fascis Brev 1125-37 T. Capocci-Napoli.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows little wear; it was converted from a screwback to a pinback in the period.
