ARTIFACT: This is a great circa early 1920s Prohibition Office badge, used in New England, most likely in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. This badge could never have been a very welcome sight to citizens during the thirteen long years that our nation outlawed alcohol. The badge is oval and is finely engraved along the border.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height x 2-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEJL09 LABGEX7/13 SAAGEX11/08/23

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The badge has some light abrasions and is much finer in-hand. The original pin appears to have bee re-soldered onto the badge at some point during the period of wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
