ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1900 tea tin for Chase & Sanborn Green Label orange and orange pekoe tea. Chase & Sanborn's of Boston, Massachusetts, and later also Chicago, began selling coffee and tea in 1862. The tin is in a half pound size and still has its full green and gold paper label intact.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 8-1/16" in width and 4-15/16" in height and 1/4" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper label, tin.

ATTACHMENT: Screw-on lid.

MARKINGS: 246; CHASE & SANBORN on lid.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The tin has some areas of rust to the lid and top edge. The paper label is in excellent condition with only light wear and minor lifting at the seam.
