Description
This is a late 1930s United States Navy pilot wing by Josiah Odence. The wing shows an anchor at center with a striped crest, and the flukes of the anchor are unpierced. For many years the maker mark on this wing was erroneously x000D believed to be that of the J. F. O'Brien company of Madison, NJ, but the mark x000D was finally positively ID'd as that of the JOSIAH ODENCE company in early 2017.
Circa late 1930s.
SIZE:2-3/4" wing.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under swivel catch.
MARKINGS:Josiah Odence maker's mark.
