ARTIFACT: Great circa 1910's ??? 20's large, Hemingray Insulator, two-piece #CD 304/310, also known as the "Coolie Hat". The top piece (CD 304) of the insulator reads: "HEMINGRAY PATENT MAY 2, 1883". The sleeve, CD 310 is unembossed. This example consists of a blue base and green top, the colors are very similar and in certain light, it is difficult to see a color variation at all.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910's ??? 20's

SIZE: Approximately Top: 9" (base diameter) x 4" top diameter; Sleeve 8" tall x 2-1/2" (top diameter) x 5-1/2" (base diameter)

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Heavy, embossed glass

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: "HEMINGRAY PATENT MAY 2, 1883"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a telephone and communications collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX15 LACEX11/15 SAFEX11/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The insulator shows minor to moderate wear, On 304: 1 tooth nicked, and small flake at top: does not detract too much, 310 has light clouding inside top, may clean off, no other major chips, rubs, or surface cracks, overall excellent condition.
