This is a Wonderful circa 1900 Pennsylvania RR (Penn'a Lines of Pennsylvania Lines) Railroad police badge from the strike buster era. A great, shield shaped, hand-stamped badge with jaunty look. The center features a five point star showing an angled number: "428" in black painted detail and surrounding it reads: "PENN'A LINES POLICE".
Approximately 2-1/16" x 1-3/4".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickeled brass, black paint
Vertical safety style pin
This is from a railroad police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MHEV19 LBIEX09/26/19
8+ (Very Fine - Excellent): The badge shows moderate wear, much of the nickel plating and black painted details remain, overall excellent condition.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
