ARTIFACT: This is a great 1969 USS Hornet CVS-12, Apollo 12 Recovery Ship celluloid pin made in Hawaii. It reads: "HORNET THREE MORE LIKE BEFORE APOLLO 12". The wording alludes to the point that the Hornet was the ship to recover Apollo 11 as well.

VINTAGE: Circa 1969.

SIZE: About 2-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid and tin, with a brass pin.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety type pin.

MARKINGS: MADE IN HAWAII BY SCHELLER

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Navy Ship collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MGX16 LFEX7/17 SFEX04/19

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Some wear, the wording around the edge after "SCHELLER" is too faded to read.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
