Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a great 1954 dated Zippo lighter featuring a factory-engraved "Reddy Kilowatt" for Bangor, Maine's E. M. Graham hydro-electric station dedication. Reddy was the premier American mascot of electricity since 1926, and was created by Ashton B. Collins, Sr. He was featured in different media, including a movie and a comic strip. The lighter is chrome-plated with a steel case and insert.

Circa 1954.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-3/16" in height, 1-1/2" in width, and 1/2" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Chrome-plated with steel, red painted details.

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): The lighter is in nice shape with some light abrasions. Most of the painted details have worn away and there is a small rust spot on one side.
