Description
Great 1943 woman War Worker Home Front photo identification badge of Ruth Lee who was employed with Evans Products Co., Plywood Division. The company produced Eames designed functional plywood items for the war effort and went on to shape much of the United States' mid-century modern furniture. The center of the badge shows a photo of Ruth (photo is askew) showing she was nearly 5'7". The surrounding green insert reads: "EVANS PRODUCTS COMPANY, PLYWOOD DIVISION LEBANON OREGON" and the center bottom is numbered in handwriting: "116". The celluloid and steel badge shows "RUTH LEE 1943" handwritten in heavy black ink on the reverse.
