ARTIFACT: This is a great 1943 named safe driver award badge from Hoffman Beverage Company of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The badge is in sterling silver and was made by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, New Jersey. The award was given to employee F. Munley for 4 ½ years of safe driving. The Hoffman Beverage Company opened in 1919 and is still in business.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: F. MUNLEY 54 MOS WH (Whitehead & Hoag maker mark) STER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII trucking collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJX14 LADEX3/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The pin has some areas of light to medium wear and tarnish.
