Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1930s United States Air Corps 8-day chronograph (AN 5741-1) made by Elgin National Watch Company. It has a cool brass frame that comes from an aircraft, and was used in a multi-engine bombers. The face of the chronometer is numbered through 24 for each hour of the day and has four smaller gauges at the center, including one for the date, elapsed time, seconds, etc. Works great!

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-1/2" in diameter (frame) and 1-3/4" in height (not including top dials).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Glass, brass, resin.

ATTACHMENT:

Screws.
