ARTIFACT: Great 1920's - 1930's Krazy Kat enameled lapel pin. The pin features Krazy carrying a red enamel sign that reads: "IF you CAN READ THIS YOU'RE TOO DARN CLOSE". Krazy Kat is a character in a newspaper comic strip by George Herriman, which ran from 1913 to 1944. The phrase "Krazy Kat" originated in The Dingbat Family comic because of the mouse's description of their cat. The strip focuses on the relationship between Krazy Kat and Ignatz, a grumpy mouse that holds all of Krazy's affections.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's - 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 1" x 1"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with 'C' type catch

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows moderate wear, much of the enamel details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
