Description
Great 1890's Weld County, Colorado Deputy Sheriff 6 point star badge. This example is unmarked, but was made by Sachs-Lawlor Denver. The ornately embellished badge reads: "WELD CO. COLORADO" in the center and surrounding it reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" in blackened detail.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890's.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height x 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel plated nickel, black paint.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety style pin with 'C' type catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, some of the black painted details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
