Great 1890's Weld County, Colorado Deputy Sheriff 6 point star badge. This example is unmarked, but was made by Sachs-Lawlor Denver. The ornately embellished badge reads: "WELD CO. COLORADO" in the center and surrounding it reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" in blackened detail.

Circa 1890's.

Approximately 2-1/8" in height x 2-1/8" in width.

Nickel plated nickel, black paint.

Vertical safety style pin with 'C' type catch.
