ARTIFACT:
Gorgeous Russo - Japanese War period silvered and gilt bronze patriotic wall plaque of Emperor Meiji in military uniform. The bust of Emperor Meiji shows his war medals and shoulder rank, and the center shows a lovely rainbow patina. The top center shows a gilt bronze floral embellishment, and the bottom features an engraved leaf and flower motif. The plaque is framed in black lacquered wood with brass eyehooks around the outer edge that hold a beautiful purple silk rope and tassel decoration, tied at the bottom center. The reverse of the plaque is wrapped in printed silk fabric.

CONDITION:
7 (Very Fine): The plaque shows minor to heavy wear at the corners, slight separation of one of the tassels, would grade higher for condition but corners show stress cracks, overall gorgeous patina.
