ARTIFACT: This is a gorgeous circa 1912 graduation badge from the New York Hospital training School for Nurses. The badge is shaped like a medal an dnumbered on reverse. It was issued to Charlotte C. Hotchkiss (nee Cornwall) of Milford, Connecticut. Charlotte served with the Red Cross in France during World War I. We are also selling an American Red Cross nurse pin that also belonged to Charlotte separately (please see link at bottom of page for more information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1912.

SIZE: Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-1/2"in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 14 karat gold (tested). 9.9 grams, 6.3 dwt.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal T-style pin on bar with C catch, suspension loop.

MARKINGS: 725 Presented to Charlotte C. Hotchkiss March 1st, 1912
