Gorgeous 1910's Gold Front Contra Costa Co., CA Deputy Sheriff 6pt Star Badge by Irvine & Jachens

Gorgeous 1910's gold front Contra Costa County, California Deputy Sheriff six point star badge by Irvine & Jachens. The badge shows lovely, hand-engraved embellishments and reads: "DEPUTY CONTRA COSTA CO. SHERIFF" in hard-fired blue enamel lettering. The lettering shows many chips and flakes to the larger letters, but does not detract from this beautiful, old badge. The reverse shows the maker mark: "IRVINE & JACHENS S.F.".

Circa 1910's.

Approximately 2-3/8" x 2-1/8".

Gold front, hard-fired blue enamel, nickel.

Vertical pin with "C" type catch.
