ARTIFACT: Fun, early WWII large patriotic US Navy 'Sailor Girl' wooden pin from Amesbury, Massachusetts. The hand-painted pin is shaped and painted to resemble a female in a Navy uniform, she has blue eyes and is wearing a white Navy cap with the name: "LIL" down the center.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 1-6/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-painted wood, safety pin, glue

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety pin

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Home Front collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBZ16 LEEX12/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows minor to moderate wear, the "I" in "LIL" is chipped, much of the painted details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
